Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done, On Earth As Is in Heaven
Framed on living room walls, recited in church services and spoken in hushed tones at funerals, these words have become little more than a Christian mantra. Yet when first given, they expressed the desires and hopes of a real King and His people. We, the people of this same King, must once again ask:
"What is this kingdom? How does it come? How does it continue?"
Challenge Yourself
On June 19th-21st, Rose Creek Village will host their 4th annual Conference on Church Life. Come join us for a challenging weekend as we explore a radical break from 21st century American Christian Culture.
Topics will include:
- "The faith once for all delivered to the saints": What it is and how to live the life of the apostolic churches
- Speaking the truth in love to one another
- The practical workings out of a community life
You will learn down-to-earth, proven practices for living the shared life of Christ. This conference is not for people who want "business as usual," nor for the half-hearted. Rather, it is for people who are tired of theory and not afraid to get their hands dirty with the real and daily work of following Christ.
Sessions
Following is a list of the sessions and classes that will be offered at the Community Conference.
Speaking the Truth in Love
Noah Taylor
Few commands of scripture come with better promises than speaking the truth in love with each other. It is the only way to escape deception and build up the body of Christ. It is more powerful than sermons or teachings. How do we communicate with each other on a spiritual level? How do we maintain the unity of the Spirit while still holding one another accountable? Learn to answer the three questions each person asks before they speak, and open up everyone to real spiritual communication.
Church History
Shammah Pavao
Discover the 2nd century Church: their holiness, their unity, their methods of evangelism, and how they joyfully overcame intense persecution. Be introduced to the writers of this period and the impressive faith they lived.
Home Birth/ Herbs & Nutrition
Haviylah Taylor C.P.M. & Ariel Dickerson C.P.M.
Home birth is a wonderful experience for both mother and child and is a proven, safe alternative to hospital births. Let us share our journey and experiences of God’s miraculous power and presence in home birth.
Health is not the quest for an unattainable perfection, but the journey toward the best your body, mind and spirit can be. It begins with good nutrition. This is a great opportunity answer any questions you may have concerning home birth, herbs, and nutrition, as this session will be both inspiring and educational.
Living Together—How Do We Do It?
Ladies of Rose Creek Village
Discover the ins and outs of families living together. How do we handle disagreements? How does more than one cook share a kitchen? Is the old adage true, “too many cooks spoil the broth?” What about laundry and grocery shopping? And how do two or more women decorate one home? How can you live with all those children? Do they get the attention they need? What about the grandmas and the grandpas? What about money?! Learn the answers to these questions and more at the workshop on Living Together.
