A Wall of Men
My day started out very nicely yesterday with a corporate ladies meeting. We were given very good things about how to go further in living this life and about taking good nutrition seriously; all very good and inspiring.
Then this INCREDIBLE thing happened!
We heard a sound coming closer from outside and someone said, “Men are coming… ALL the men are coming!”
Then someone else said excitedly, “Open the windows” so we rushed to the windows and began opening them. Then someone said, “Go to the door,” for how often do you see God move a wall down a tiny, country road in a little village in Tennessee? And how often do you hear a wall singing?
We could not really hear very well the wonderful sound of that wall of men singing praises to our God, so we pushed our way to the door and out onto the porch and down into the yard until we stood facing this unbelievable sight. There was much excitement in the air as we were caught up into the spirit of the moment and joined hands and began singing, too. We walked around that wall of men—that wall that is usually around us—singing with them.
When the songs stopped Rachel began to praise the men and to thank them for all they do in providing for us and protecting us; laying down their lives every day as they serve our Lord and lovingly and wisely serve us! I want all of you to know that we see all you do in giving up your lives every moment of every day. “How blessed it is for men to dwell together in unity!”
As I looked out over that beautiful wall, I saw men who were being made, not only into stones fitly joined together into a wall, but men being made into precious gems and into a wall of jewels, men becoming all that their Master sees them to be. There is no more beautiful sight!
Men, keep giving yourselves up to the fire of the Refiner and to the unbelievable pressures of this life—pressures from the Hand that is forming you into diamonds and refining you into purest gold as He builds His Kingdom here! For His Kingdom will be built and His will will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!
